First thing to create portfolio content is to create a portfolio\u00a0post. \u00a0Theme has various post options for you display different content on your portfolio.<\/p>\n

  1. Go to\u00a0WordPress Dashboard > Portfolios\u00a0> Add New\u00a0Portfolio<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Enter post title and content. You can use any shortcode or HTML Editing Fields.<\/li>\n
  3. Upload portfolio featured image using set featured box on the bottom right side. All pages will use this image for post preview image and thumbnail.<\/li>\n
  4. Once you finish, click Publish.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    IMPORTANT: You have to upload a featured image to each portfolio post in order to load in portfolio pages.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Portfolio\u00a0Options<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • If you select “Vimeo Video” or “Fullscreen Vimeo Video”<\/strong> video type, you have to enter Vimeo video ID ex. “27299211”.<\/li>\n
    • If you select “Youtube Video” or “Fullscreen Youtube Video”<\/strong> video type, you have to enter Youtube video ID ex. “cdygEzfbhqc”.<\/li>\n
    • If you select “Self-Hosted Video” or “Fullscreen Self-Hosted Video”<\/strong> type, you have to enter your video URL (.mp4 or .flv file format).<\/li>\n
    • If you select “External Link”<\/strong>, you have to enter “External Link URL”<\/strong>. So when visitor click on this portfolio, they will be redirected to this URL.<\/li>\n
    • If you select “Image”<\/strong>, you have upload portfolio image using “set featured image” box.<\/li>\n
    • If you select “Portfolio Content”<\/strong>, you can add HTML, text or using Content Builder to add portfolio content. So when visitor click on this portfolio, they will be redirected to portfolio\u00a0single page with its content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      IMPORTANT: Single Portfolio\u00a0Page has fullwidth layout.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Create Single\u00a0Portfolio Content using Content Builder<\/strong><\/p>\n

      When you create\/edit portfolio item. Select Content type to “Portfolio Content” and click “Edit in Content Builder”<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

      Theme has built-in “Content Builder” for portfolio\u00a0post. Basically you can select available modules. Once your selected, it will open a popup which you can setup options for selected module. Once you finish adjusting options. Click “Update” and save changes on page. You can change content order using drag and drop in content builder box.<\/p>\n

      1. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Portfolios\u00a0> Add New portfolio<\/strong>\u00a0and enter its title.<\/li>\n
      2. Select portfolio content type as “portfolio Content”.<\/li>\n
      3. In Content Builder Option box. Check “Edit in Content Builder”<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n
      4. Select module you want to add to the page and click “Add” button. It will open a popup with module’s options. Customise all options and click Update.<\/li>\n
      5. Repeat step 3 for each modules you want to add to the portfolio. Once finish customising, save changes the portfolio.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Common Issues & Questions<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Content doesn’t display using Content Builder<\/strong>
          \nThis issue is mostly because you didn’t\u00a0check “Enable Content Builder” option.<\/li>\n
        2. All my content builder modules are lost<\/strong>
          \nWhen you customise each content builder module and click “Update” button. It’s still not saving to WordPress system and you will notice “Unsaved” status on each module. You have to save changes on WordPress page to save all modules.<\/li>\n
        3. Cannot click or add any Content Builder module<\/strong>
          \nThis issue mostly comes from javascript conflict with plugins. Please make sure you disable all additional 3rd party plugins to see if it fixes the issue.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Organise portfolios by\u00a0Portfolio Categories<\/strong><\/p>\n

          If you want to categorized portfolio items by sectors ex. Education, Financial etc. You can do that easily.<\/p>\n

          1. Open WordPress Dashboard > Portfolios > Portfolio Categories<\/strong>\u00a0You will see list of for example portfolio\u00a0you have.<\/li>\n
          2. If you don’t have any, please create one first so you can assign portfolio items to it.<\/li>\n
          3. Now back to edit portfolio page. Look at “portfolio categories” box and you will see list of your current portfolio categories. Check one you want to assign this portfolio to and save changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            How to add portfolio category\u00a0page<\/strong><\/p>\n

            Basically when you crate portfolio categories. WordPress automatically added these pages for you. You just have to find the url of it or add it to main menu. Open Appearance > Menus<\/strong> and select for example “Portfolio Categories” you want to add to main menu.<\/p>\n

            But if you couldn’t see this option. Click “Screen Options” at the top right of edit menu page and check “Portfolio Categories” options.<\/p>\n

            How to change\u00a0portfolio\u00a0category\u00a0page template<\/strong><\/p>\n

            You can change portfolio category page layout setting using Portfolios > Portfolio Categories<\/strong>. Click on category you want to edit and select “Portfolio Category Page Template”.<\/p>\n

            Import Demo portfolio\u00a0Post<\/strong><\/p>\n

            You can import individual portfolio\u00a0posts you saw on demo site using Content Builder import option. Here are steps to import.<\/p>\n

            1. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Portfolios\u00a0> Add New portfolio\u00a0and enter its title.<\/li>\n
            2. Select portfolio content type as “portfolio Content”.<\/li>\n
            3. In Content Builder Option box. Check “Enable Content Builder”<\/strong> option<\/li>\n
            4. Click on template button and click “Predefined Template” tab<\/strong>. You will see list of all demo pages.<\/li>\n
            5. Select one begin with “Portfolio Single…” and click Add button<\/li>\n
            6. Selected demo single portfolio page content should be imported.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              You can change single post page settings.\u00a0Go to\u00a0Appearance > Customize\u00a0> Portfolio >\u00a0Single Portfolio Page<\/strong><\/p>\n
